About

We are a family of 6, living in a rural community. Our objective is to continue to build and develop our small town by supporting three pillars: Children and Families, Self Government & Reliance and Art and Literature. These topics may seem trivial, but every great society was founded upon them. I don’t know exactly why it works. It just does. Cherished and Protected women and children ultimately create more happy, stronger societies and communities. When societies are intentional about including art and literature, character is developed, and children are smarter, less likely to be involved in crime and more resilient. Self-government is essential in every great society. When societies are taught wholesome principles, through good literature and can take care of themselves through self-reliance education, they can better govern themselves. Excessive policy change and legislation become unnecessary at that point. There was always a debate in Sociology about whether you wanted to be a part of the prevention or part of the “clean up” crew. Years after graduating I have found that education is the comfortable middle between the two. And that is our objective-to educate. It can prevent and it can heal.

My name is Bianca. I received my Bachelors Degree in Youth Leadership and Recreation management with a minor in Sociology. We were privileged to move to our small town in the spring of 2009 and have been enjoying homeschooling and our small homestead ever since. We are learning, first hand, the challenges of gardening in a desert climate and hope to enjoy a good harvest someday. Our passions include herbal medicine, crochet, music, paper crafts, baking, and learning new things.

Our town is the perfect foundation for these three pillars. The population is small, jobs are scarce, and the overall food supply is dependent primarily upon a gas station with a small grocery store attached. We are already pretty self reliant, driving a least a hundred miles for supplies on a regular basis, and learning to grow our own food. Our schools, first responders, event coordinators, and religious organizations are full of dedicated volunteers and caring individuals. Our law enforcement and religious organizations truly understand the value of wholesome recreation and stable families. These factors make it possible for our town to grow and develop, become stronger in these three areas and to create a safer, better place for our children and grandchildren.
